Kenya Tourism Board Set for
Global Fair in Germany

Kenya will participate in this year's annual International Tourism
Bourse travel trade fair to be held in Germany next month. The
State-run Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) and other industry
stakeholders will represent the country.
The event will run from March 5 to 9 and is expected to bring
together 11,000 companies from 180 countries.
"Compared with 2006, the number of bookings at the ITB Berlin
2008, has remained consistently high. The world's largest travel
trade show will live up to its reputation as the industry's
leading international platform," said ITB senior manager, Mr David
More than 100,000 trade visitors are expected to attend.
Last year nearly 70,000 people attended the fair, which is held at
the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. The World Tourism Organisation
predicts that holiday and business travel will increase.
